Did I always have the "gift" of Animal Communication?

I would say yes, but I wasn’t aware of it until much later in life, after I got Dolly and experienced animal communication sessions with my now mentor.

We all have the “gift “to communicate with animals.

Oftentimes, it becomes buried as we continue through life. YES, anyone can communicate with animals, although some humans are more aware and tapped into telepathic and energetic frequencies.

Growing up, I loved animals and felt very comfortable in their presence. Whenever I’d go to my friend’s house, her dog would instantly be drawn to me. I’d spend hours with my babysitter’s cat just hanging out. Many evenings after school, I’d be outside, wandering around, running my palms along the bushes and noticing the birds’ song. I felt so at ease.

Sometimes I’d have deja vu or dreams about the future that would come to pass.

As the years went on, like many people, I became enmeshed in academics, work, technology, and the material world. I was disconnected from animals and nature living the New York City fast paced lifestyle. I was missing something in my life, but I didn’t know what it was.

Once I got Dolly, she required that I was fully present during my time spent with her, especially if I was training or riding. I had to take responsibility for my mental state, which was mostly stressed and anxious at the time, and be with her.

I observed which grass or weeds she chose to munch in the paddock, or when she would sigh and stand next me during our walk to the arena. I started paying attention to her world. Dolly seemed so connected and at ease. Leaving the farm at the end of our time together, I always felt more relaxed and positive.

When I first booked Animal Communication sessions with Dolly, where I the client, my mentor Kristin encouraged me to notice how connected Dolly and I already were. I knew that Dolly preferred to stand ground tied, not be on the cross ties which seemed claustrophobic. I was aware of the horses Dolly considered friends in the herd and those she didn’t care for as much. I knew I had to be cautious with leg pressure when riding during her late summer heat cycle.

Once I realized Dolly was communicating with me, I began to listen more.

Let her have choices in life and honor her ideas. Choose the path through the woods and let her guide us home (she knew better than I did!). The more I acknowledged and respected her experience, the more I began to receive from her.

Taking training courses with Kristin made me aware of my limiting beliefs and judgements around animals. I learned how to be more in touch with my intuition on a regular basis. Trusting “my gut” helped me strengthen my telepathic abilities.

Practice with classmates’ animals gave me confidence. I embraced a yoga practice, breathing and meditation to help manage anxious thoughts and self-doubt. Wild animals began showing up in my life; birds, beavers and bees were welcoming me into their world and I wasn’t afraid of because we were different species. I let myself receive their wisdom and began to believe in the power of my own intuition.

The more I studied and practiced animal communication, the more acute my extrasensory perception became. As the years went on, I valued and allowed for my animals and those around me to share their thoughts and feelings. I felt like a kid again, observing the opossum, asking how the earthworm felt the dirt on his belly as he crawly, and letting my dog know how long I’d be away on vacation, so he didn’t become anxious while I was packing.

My barriers came down and the beautiful world of animal communication continues to amaze me.
